Empower Me Don’t Blame Campaign

The campaign seeks parental involvement in the education as first educators since children spend more time with them. Considering the fact that it is a taboo subject we are putting local focal persons to coordinate the discussions within their communities

01.  To educate the woman on sexual and reproductive health right education as a basic human right.

02.  For mothers to open up dialogue with their children especially the girl child so that they can be put on the right track when it comes to their sexuality.

In a bit to select focal persons for the various quarters  within the community and encourage participants to have unbiased conversation on sexual and reproductive health right education, Common Action for Gender Development (COMAGEND) on the 1st of April 2017 held a training workshop in its main office at Ntanfoang – Bali.

The campaign also acknowledges the great role peer interactions play in SRH eduction. It trains young adolescent girls to be SRHR educators within their local communities. In this light young girls who have been trained and equipped with unbiased information concerning their sexuality spear head discussions and actions around this topic considered a taboo in my community.
